Getting Started

Before you join

1. Confirm whether Storm SMP currently supports your Minecraft edition and version using the latest server announcement.
2. Open Multiplayer in Minecraft Java Edition.
3. Select Add Server.
4. Enter the server address: play.thestormsmp.com.
5. Save the entry and connect.

The address above is the Java hostname. Do not assume Bedrock players can connect unless the server has explicitly announced Bedrock support.

Your first session

• Read the server rules before building or interacting with other players.
• Check the command reference for common player commands.
• Protect your account: use a unique password wherever an account password is required, and never give credentials to another player or staff member.
• Ask questions respectfully and use the official support route described in Getting Help.

Server versions and updates

Minecraft updates can temporarily make a server or a plugin incompatible. If joining fails after an update, check the latest official announcement first. Do not install unofficial “fixes” or share executable files from strangers.
